Those two sound interesting - what size is the big speedo readout?

Here is what I had when I tried to code the door.

After reading alot into this, I've found that door modules changed in cars from 2007 onwards. The front door uses different pins, 18 and 19 apparenty as Martin already suggested, bit didn't seem to work for me. The big ground brown wire is in pin 21 but apparently there is a dedicated neg for the lights.

As for the speedo, this is what it's like. Tried to set up a dial sweep on start up, but wouldn't give me that option!

I wonder if that speedo's possible on earlier cars?

Think that's what we tried and it accepted it ok. Just tried every combination with the pins on the door and couldn't get it to light. Tested the bulb and wires on the cigarette lighter and worked fine!

Ok take 2 on this and still no joy. Coded all the doors so there now activated, but still can't get it to work. I tested pins with a 12v out and they worked fine, but as I tried to make contact with them, they cut the 12v off?! I have been testing with the door car of and the 32pin plug disconnected. Does everything have to be connected for it to work?

I would wire the lights up with the battery disconnected. Reconnect the battery and see what happens.

Think I'm going to have to ask for the dealers assistance on this. I've searched the Internet for a diagram to show me what all the pins are for but haven't succeeded.

No. Any pins that were live with the door open remained live with the door closed! I will solder the negative wire into pin 21 which is the earth wire tomorrow. Then I'll try the positive in all the positions where there are pins, but no wires and plug it all in properly.

Thought this would have been an easy mod but it's proving to be a headache!!
