    Hi,
I need help coding a MFSW (MultiFunction Steering Wheel) that I have retrofitted
    to my 2004 2.0FSI (MkV).

I am told by a VW main dealer that my car is fitted with:
    1K0 953 549AM (mfsw capable highline controller)
    1K0 959 653 (mfsw capable type 1 slip ring)
    1K0 971 584 (non-mfsw airbag harness)
(else where in this forum advised not to trust VW manifests, but fingers crossed)

    I fitted:
    early MkV (2004-2005) mfsw and
    1K0 971 584C (mfsw capable airbag harness)
and need to code the steering wheel controller.

I think I know the correct fields in the code but have never seen VCDS in
action or how to do anything.

Can anybody in the Windsor/Ascot/Bracknell help me?
(and explain what beer tokens are).

    PS, I would also like to stop the headlights staying on for minutes after I lock the car at night;
I reverse into my drive and must be driving my opposite neighbours potty.

    Thanks, Aidan

Well, multifunction steering wheel up an running. Very nice.

Special thanks to kite who first diagnosed wrong type of controller,
and then corrected a very stubborn steering angle sensor that
was leaving me with no power steering or stability control.

    Aidan :-)

    :-)

Think I am going to enjoy the multifunction wheel for a while before risking anything else. I might just have the bug though.

    Cheers,
    Aidan
