does the cradle make a big difference? Can anyone comment as I'd like one too but thought it was just an added toy or gadget.

I understand that it connects to the aerial on the roof, but does it make a massive difference or a slight one?

For me it improves it by as much as two bars, typically one bar compared against not docking my phone in the cradle. The biggest benefit will be in areas of poor reception where it really does make a difference.

If it improves signal I think it's a no brainer, cost aside of course.

That said how much is it and I guess only from the dealers?

    TOY - 2001 Westfield 2.1 SEW,172bhp SOLD TO MY BROTHER, I needed a PANERAI.
HERS - 'R' New 7spd DSG and 310 rampant ones. 4.2 off the mark will do nicely

£99 including postage on ebay from Audi Belfast. I think I'm going to get one as the space is useless and the phone gets scratched if you leave the phone there.

Will ask the local dealer to price match first.

By the way the 3G/3GS cradle works and fits, presumably the "4" is a better fit - however I switched from iPhone 3G to 4 without any issues.
