I have just bought a 1999 Audi A6 Quattro 2.7T which I am really pleased with (see my other thread https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...466#post602466) However after reading through the forum have become seriously concerned about servicing & repair costs. Could I please have some recommendations for a good place to take the car for a service & any other work. I am moving to Norwich soon so anywhere in Norfolk or indeed East Anglia generally would be great. It was regularly maintained at an Audi main agent for the first 6-7 years of its life but what work if any has been done in the last couple of years is pretty much unknown although there is reference in the service booklet to a ne cam belt at 130K miles. The car is running well but I really would like to have a specialist look over the car now & do any necessary work so that I can feel reassured that there is nothing important service-wise that has been neglected by me.

The 2.7TT is very susceptible to boost leaks and as the turbo's work harder they are wearing out faster. As soon a s the boost leaks are fixed or the car its driven hard then the oil seals let go and it needs 2 turbo replaced at the same time wich is an engine-out job. I really doubt you'll get any change out of 2 grand for replacing the turbo's supply and fit ! Its a high maintenance motor, that's for shure !

What a nice friendly garage & easy to find. The car is booked in for a mega-service next Wednesday & a courtesy car is being provided.
