2.7 tdi, 32.0mpg over first 8000 miles, 85% town driving (boohoo). Had a b7 tfsi and would get 23.0 (50/50 a/b), so happy enough. Just craving for twisty b's!

First 500 miles = 13mpg actual (computer says 16mpg). Big difference to the old 143tdi which was about 38mpg. Using v-power at the moment. Thinking of switching to bollinger as it's cheaper ha ha.

Jeez!! You do know that the throttle also works at the points between closed and wide open don't you ?

I am very happy with 42mpg around town and country driving in my 2.0TDI 143bhp S-Line. I haven't had chance to go for a longer drive yet, but I hope to be 50mpg+ I am finding the cruise control really helps with the economy.

Just checked my trusty spreadsheet and after 17,500 miles my 2.0 TDI 143 S-LIne has returned 43.65mpg.

You need to average over a full year. My mpg is noticably lower over the winter.

My first 3000 miles I've an average of 42 mpg.

I have a 136 TDIe and get around 47-48mpg on avg. This includes a fair bit of town driving and school runs etc. on a longer run (30 mins+ on motorway) I get 55 easily and 60 on an even longer run. Once managed 78mpg, but that involved driving at 50mph and had lorries overtaking!

Trust me - Audi lie in their quoted mpg figures.

I can't get anywhere near the quoted figures for my car, even if I try really hard to!

Firstly you may wish to edit your post unless you can prove it.

Secondly it's my understanding that mpg figures are independently tested. We all know that they don't represent the real world but since they're all done to the same standard it means you can compare vehicles.
