Hi, looking for a bit of help. I lost pressure on my clutch pedal before christmas, I have since changed both the Master and Slave cylinders but still have very little pressure (not enough to operate the clutch) even after bleeding etc. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as to what it could be before I start stripping it down.
    It is a 2004 VW Touran 1.9tdi
    Thanks

hi mate iirc the slave cylinder is inside the box? there must still be air in it or drawing in air at some point in the system, i take it you have had someone pump the clutch pedal till there is no air coming thro? it may pay to use a pressure bleeder on the system mate

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have bled the system over and over again, I have checked for leaks etc but still no joy. The slave is ontop of the box. I am thinking that it might be either pressure plate or bearing but obviously want to try absolutely everything first before taking the box off. I have seen a pressure bleeder from Halfords for £20 does anyone if they they are any good?

You have to bleed the clutches on tourans with a pressure bleeder. They get a air lock in the master cylinder. I have just finished putting a new clutch in mine today same problem. Pressure bleed it and it was fine.
