    hi guys,
New to this so please bear me. Has any one ever had clutch slip after having tandem pump changed. Seemed fine before mechanic changed pump after non start so i wondered if leaking/spilled diesel may have entered clutch housing. still unable to find cause of non start though. Any ideas/suggestions very welcome

If you don't use a suction pump to empty the tamdem pump it will spill it's contents onto and maybe in to the clutch housing.

Not sure once the clutch lining is contaminated it will get better?

If it were petrol then maybe but diesel tends not to evaporate and lingers around.

Yes it is a common issue when the tandem pump has been leaking or if care is not taken to prevent diesel getting into the box when changing it, I doubt if it will get better but it may turn from a slip to a judder, only time will tell.

Dont mean to hijack the thread but i have a leaking tandem pump and im getting the clutch flywheel and tbelt done at the end of the month. Im curious now after reading here that maby my slipping clutch is due to the leaking diesel from the pump.
What should i do now get the pump changed too
