    Ive been looking at a few cheap small rc helicopters, around £30. I have found a couple, just wondered if anyone on here has one that they can recommend.
    ive found ones like this;

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/33cm-GYRO-SYMA...#ht_5530wt_907

    I like the look of the Syma ones as they look sturdy

    Thanks

    forget it, that will put you off rc choppers for life. this is the best starter you can get. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/E-FLITE-BLADE-...#ht_2261wt_989

    this is a proper 4 channel jobbie, so you fly it like a real helicopter. its a lot more money, but i cant tell you enough how bad the really cheap ones are. the syma has no cyclic control, so its only up/down, or turn. i.e the rotors are fixed. the e flite has everything a proper one has, and is very controllable, but will still take you a week to be able to take off. they are also indestructible, able to slam into concrete wall or floors, totally out of control, has a little li po battery, and is 2.4 ghz, for better radio control.

    My dad got one like in the 1st post. Mainly to amuse my lad. It's indoor use only and does take a beating. It is possible to steer but it does take practice. It came from maplins. Looks like a gun ship.

    Hi, my main hobby is r/c helicopters and i have lots of fuel powered ones, but for indoor use i fly an Ansmann mounty (re-badged Esky Lama)

    Its a contra-rotating 4 channel and is the most stable indoor heli ive ever seen. I did a quick google search and found them online with Al's hobbies for £40. http://alshobbies.com/shop/search.ph...28RTF%29+35Mhz

    I would highly recommend it.

    Hi thom, do you know any way to test a 27 mhz transmitter & receiver. My son got a HSP xstr rc car for Christmas. Packed up the folloeing day. No steering or motor which suggests transmitter or receiver failure to me.

    Obviously check the lights are illuminitaed on the transmitter, and make sure batteries on the car are charged. Also make sure the xtals on both Tx and Rx are fitted correctly, and make sure the plug on the power-in side of the receiver is the right way round.

    Thats about it really. Hope it helps.
