    I'm looking to order a Q5 and thinking about ordering the AMI to connect my ipod.
    Is this worth having or can anyone recommend any other methods of connection?

    which media package are you thinking of buying with the Q5
    mmi 3g or gen 3 radio?

    My plan at the moment is to go for the standard Q5 and spec it up with extras I want not what Audi add on. Haven't looked beyond the standard Concert radio which comes with MMI as yet.

    You can add ami to concert radio for around £300, its by far the best system with full ipod control via the multifunction steering wheel.

    MMI 3G has no official ami retro fit but depending on the control unit fitted it can be added.

    Thanks for the advice A8. It's listed for £255 at the moment. Seems the best way to go. I'm planning on adding the multifuction steering wheel as well.

    I have AMI on my 2009 A6 and I can recommend it if you're looking for a slick iPod interface.
