ok..... what sort of problems? do remember diesels take a little longer to turn over when cold, thats perfectly normal.

also, remember to turn the car over as soon as the glowplug light goes out, the longer you leave it, the colder the plug tip, the less heat there is to help the ignition of the fuel.

can you give us some more details please?

The glowplugs are hardly needed in our climate but could be causing your problem. Does the light function as it should, i.e. goes out in about half a second at this time of year ?

I'd look into a possible air ingress problem on the fuel lines, filter unions and filter thermostat seals, the fuel pipes and look at the tandem pump for signs of fuel leaks.

What happens if you are getting air ingress into the fuel lines is that the engine is effectively bleeding the air out of them just as it would when you do a fuel filter change.

Check the fuel lines and change the filter would be my advise (as it probably needs doing anyway!).

    No your being cryptic !

I'll say it then and thanks for the reminder !

Errr.... check your coolant temp sender as well !!

The ECU may be cunningly tricked into thinking that the engine is warm when in fact it is not by a dud CTS ! That'll cause starting problems, that will.
