3.0tdi power steering fluid

Hi,
My power steering fluid could do with a top up (its at min mark) but I cant seem to find the correct grade!
I know its hydraulic mineral oil - do I need to go to Audi (a 60 mile round trip) or can I get it at VW dealer or even Halfords? If I can what am I looking/asking for-the local Halfords didnt have a clue and they have lots of different types (I didnt want to get the wrong one!)?

The manual doesnt tell me (refers to main dealer).

Have a read of this

"....hydraulic CHF 7.1 mineral base and CHF 11S synthetic base Audi power steering fluid specifications."

There should be a specification on the power sterering fluid reservoir.

As above, I think it should give the part number of the fluid on the resovoir cap, it will be like G002000 which was the greenish hydraulic fluid...

PLEASE CHECK BEFORE using any fluid, wrong stuff and it may cost you a rack and pump

Audi should be able to tell you... check out the sponsors area for a few suggestions, such as C & R, Listers, All German Parts to name a few...
