    Hi All,

    Silly question I am sure

I have a 2010 A6 Le Mans Saloon, when I press the button on the remote to unlock the boot, it unlocks but does not pop up at all ?

On previous cars pressing the boot remote on the key fob would make the boot pop up - very handy if approaching the car with bags of shopping or when the boot handle is filthy !

Is there any adjustment to make the boot actually open on pressing the remote ?

Boot will only open if you have the auto-boot option.
Popping open on the key is all you get...

Yep - what Kite says is exactly right. Self-opening bootlid is a cost option(£30 if I remember correctly) that needs to be specced when the car is ordered. Mine has it, but just recently it's started to stick a bit, so I end up having to lift the lid manually.

    Hi Mark
The sticking could be a fault, have you checked for codes using VCDS

Thanks George. It's a mechanical issue. The boot trim was replaced when the previous plastic flap for the boot catch broke, and since then the catch occasionally catches on the trim and stops the boot opening.

    Happy New Year!

    Mark.

Do you have the remote release switch at the front of the driver's door pocket? If so, I'd guess it will just be a case of adding the relevant strut to the hinge mechanism. I'm just guessing, though.
