Most of my Chrome work has gone "cloudy" any pointers for the right way to get it back to its original glory..?
I'm guessing its not real chrome so a straight metal cleaner won't work.? or am I wrong?
Your experience would be much appreciated.

Hey there, thanks for your post.

I do stand to be corrected but after having 3 ( I think it was 3, could be 4) replacement sets fitted under warranty / goodwill for this exact same issue, I think I'm right!
The official Audi line is that its NOT a warranty issue and some cleaner or abrasive you've used thats caused the damage etc etc.
They are NOT chrome as you suggest, but a plastic with a chrome veneer.

They are £50 a pop from the dealer and you'd need 4 ...not particuarly easy to fit either I'm lead to believe!!.......Therefore it would be expensive and I'd be willing to put every penny I own on them going the same way shortly after.

Sorry I can't give better news, just my experience after 4 years and a few discussions with the dealer, service, parts people on the issue and a few replacements as stated.

Hoping someone can offer you alternative advice

    Jim

Thanks for the advice, bit of a shame really as its been niggling me for a while now but I'm not going to waste money on getting new ones, after all chrome work is not what makes this car so much pleasure to drive...
