Hi. Yep, got it fixed. It was the injector with the little microchip attached so presumably it was the chip malfunctioning. Had it put on a diagnostics machine first but nothing much showed up as the car is too old to display a comprehensive result and it was down to the engineer's experience in identifying the fault. Wasn't cheap, about £190.00 (checked the price online and that's what they cost) for the injector and £60.00 for the test and labour. But well worth it. Find an Audi/VW independant specialist if you can otherwise it'll probably cost a lot more at a main dealer. Good luck!
