    The code reads ..
    01578 Airbag deactivation warning lamp
    Passenger side (K145)
009 open or short to ground

Has anyone been working on the dash recently. It probably is what it says, an open connection because a connector somewhere is causing it. Presumably you have the passenger airbag deactvation warning light. So that is the place to start.

The only thing that springs to mind, I had a the rear washer hose come apart behind the front passenger kick panel, and I noticed a handful of relays there, wondering if the water penetrated there?

It seems to be on more when cold, (roll on the warm weather!!!) I've turned the key switch off in the glove box and the light goes out, so I guess it would be before that, looks like a strip down when its a bit warmer, although the fault may well disappear then too !!

Could easily be due to cold temps and condensation. An almost invisible layer of corrosion can cause these silly faults.
