Hello folks,

I recently bought an A4 2.0 TDI 2007 and i'm just starting to get to grips with it. It is the nicest car i've ever owned and I m thinking of buying some kind of hands free in car phone system for it.

I notice on the multi function steering wheel there is a button for answering mobile calls made, but i don't think the car had any kind of phone pre installed so i'm fairly sure it won't work at the moment!

I'm fairly new at all this and was wandering what the best way to proceed is. I'd quite like to just use the in car system if i can, answering the phone from the steering wheel, but if it's cheaper to just buy something like a parrot hands free kit i suppose i could go ahead and do that.

I don't particularly need a fancy lcd display or anything, just some means of safely taking mobile calls when driving. The only important thing for me is that the system is subtle (ie not wires all over the place). I'm not interested in an ear piece or something i need to charge up.

So i guess my question is, Can i easily enough get an Audi dealer or someone to activate the in car telephone system or do i really need to go and buy a hands free kit from somewhere.

Apologies in advance if i'm not making myself clear. As i said i'm new to all this

My mobile phone is an HTC HD7 windows phone if that's important.

Cheers
