If you look on the following site, it tells you all. http://journeytoforever.org/biodiesel_aleksnew.html or you can look here www.ravenfamily.org/andyg/vegoil.htm or you can buy Biodiesel from here http://www.bioroute.co.uk/. No doubt there are many other sites that can help you if you search the net. You can use straight veg oil blended with diesel too. Still have to pay duty so no saving apart from the planet!

I ran mine on a 10% blend once, and it performed the same. I only wish there was a place local to me that sold it. I was just given some by a friend at a carshow ages ago - I know of nowhere around me that does biodiesel.

Well you learn something every day! I was running my Vento TD on a 50% blend with SVO. Made it smoother and cheaper to run. Sold the car now and can't do it in my Passat as its a 20v!

To a point, yes, although the finer points of law will need ironing out (and I'm in no fit state ti think about them whilst I've just got back from a drinking sessssssssh)

I am tempted to try a 90% diesel 10% veg oil mix at least once to see if it has any effect. I'm thinking it won't but you never know with a PD injector shoving fuel in at 30,000 odd PSI. Perhaps veg will not take kindly to that, even if only 10% of the fuel....? Too many unknowns for me....

Yes, it has always been legal, as long as you paid 28p/litre duty to HMCE, but now you don't on the first 2500 litres per year. See google news search and sort by date for more info from BBC etc...

Don't anybody go sticking veg oil in their cars even at low concentrations! Especially not in a PD!
The diesel and veg oil are immiscible (they don't mix). The veg oil is more dense, will sit at the bottom of your fuel tank at 100%, get sucked in cold when you start the car, be too thick for the pump and break it.
If you want to use veg oil you are much safer running a 'two tank' system which gets the veg oil hot (and so thinner) before it is allowed into the engine.

Veg oil = bad for your car unless you have converted it
Biodiesel = OK if used sensibly even without conversions

Don't confuse veg oil with biodiesel, they are VERY different fuels!!!
