Hi Guys, Its been a while since i posted here but i need someones help.

I've recently had my golf garaged becuase of water leakage into the cabin, so it was carpets and seats out reseal the ancillaries carriers on the inner door card and reseal the fuse box under the scuttle. All a good job, so today i rebuilt the interior and hit the road only to find the dash illumination lights on the binicles and the heater controls are not lit. Everything works fine elsewise, i've checked all the relevant fuses in the fuse box and everything is A ok. I then decided to remove the switch just to check and i found it to be extremly hot to touch. I have it removed from the carnow. Just looking for some advice or anyone with any experience of this issue?

    Thanks for the help

    Hi there

I think i have exactly the same problem, all the lights on the dashboard work, eg on the radio, speedometer
, but just the heating, fan AC lights are not working for some reason.

I have heard its to do with the wiring in the passenger side door but I am very unsure about this and could be way off.

any help will be great though!
    thanks

    Hi,

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I think your problem is just the bulb for the centre illumination. If you pull out the heater speed control know carefully using pliers and some soft cloth you'll see it in there. It will need to be carefully prised out of there using prob the pliers and some soft cloth. Do a search to see if you can find the best method.

On another note i got my other issue sorted. Turned out the cig lighter wasnt connected correctly. Connected it all up and everythings working fine.

Hope you get sorted mate. Let me know

    Thanks
