I am about to press the commit button on buying a 1 year old A4 Allroad. I've been thinking about going back to AWD for some time having driven Iprezas in the past and I think the A4 Allroad just looks the business.

However, I've got one nagging if small concern. The car does not appear to have any form of telephone preparation on the options list but does have the MMI 3G HDD system - can anyone confirm whether this system comes with a basic blurtooth hands free system for the phone? The dealer believes it does but it's one of those things that will drive me up the wall, I spend a fair bit of time in the car, if it's not built in.

    TIA

    Contact audi CS 0800699888
Give them the car reg no., they will tell you the spec of the car from the factory.
If its not fitted there are people on here who can retrofit the bluetooth.

Thanks Kite - Audi CS have confirmed the MMI 3G High but do not list bluetooth. However, the dealer is certain that there is a bluetooth pairing option. I will try to get something in writing from the dealer and if it turns out there's no BT I might have some recourse.

    Dave (hi Kite!)

I have a MY2010 with MMI 3G High with HDD nav and I have Bluetooth connectivity (which I seem to remember came as part of the package).

As a thought though, why not take your mobile to the dealership and try to pair it to the car - that will tell you one way or the other, I would think.

Alas it's about a four hour round trip. I'll test when I see it but wanted to see whether there was likely to be a problem.

Tell the dealer that Audi says there's no BT and you're concerned. Ask him to pair it to a phone, take some pics and email them to you. Alternatively get the dealer to put it in writing that the car has it and if it hasn't that they'll pick up the tab plus give you £250 in compensation.

If they're confident then the compensation etc won't matter to them. If they baulk at it then you'll know it hasn't.

Dealer has been to the car and checked that he can pair his own phone so that's good enough for me - now figuring out the best way to pick it up/get it delivered.

    Thanks for all the responses.
