Various Faults on A3 2.0tdi

HI all, new to the forum and owning an Audi.

I am hoping someone can help me out here with advice on whats wrong with my new car that I love apart from the following.

Recently purchased a 2004 A3 2.0tdi with some faults although I only thought she had fault one on purchasing.

1, The open door switches on the driver door is not working so not getting the headlight on alarm when getting out and no puddle lights or door open light (passengers is fine). I assume this is just a lock swap out or is it connected to another fault?

2, Now I assume that the 2 bottons on the driver door for the alarm sensors should light up when you press the buttons. Mine doesn't I dont know but possibly linked to the door lock micro switches?

3, The car has an ipod denison installed but the concert does not seem to see it as a cd changer even when pressing the cd button once or twice.

4, today whilst playing with the climate control it went off as in all the lights on it went out then they came back, also shortly afterwards the radio went off, came back on on second attempt at turning back on.

Before picking her up she had a dead battery which was replaced so dont know if any of the fault codes i got on vag com are related to that but hopefully someone looking at this will now what my problems all relate to.

Thanks in advance for any advice it will greatly appreciated as I want to enjoy driving my Audi even if its not a 2010 model.

the drivers door lock problem could be a broken wire in the loom between the door and the "A" pillar.
I had this problem on my daughters A3, the problem was the microswitch built into the lock.
Got a new one on Ebay for £40, the dealer will want around £90..

Hi and welcome

After the battery has been disconnected there are likely to be a few areas where re-setting is required. You need to check the user manual for synchronising the immobiliser and re-setting the electric windows.

Clear all fault codes and start again to see what pops up a second time and then check the manual

Sorry mate - rewind. I didn't mean synchronise the immobiliser I meant synchronise the remote control key fob !

If you can drive the car at all then there is no problem with the immobiliser !

Kite I cleared all codes after the synch of windows and these are the results. Auto window works but still getting the fault?

Now a newbie question in the reults there are items with no fault code does this mean this item is faulty but does not know what the fault is or is it ok?

After synch of windows still fault there.
