Auto gearbox

.Hello all there.
I have a question that i dont find the answer too..
I have a Sharan-1999 yearmodel 1.8 turbo with autogearbox.
when i look in the right back lid where the information about everything is its said about gearbox model AG4,, same in the manual.
I dont find a haynes about sharan so i bought a galaxy manual from haynes.
And in that one it says the auto gearbox is AG4 under transmisssiontype.

And then under general info its says The Ford AG4 auto trans and so on.........

I wonder it is the same auto trans in sharan,ford and seat? Since i dont find a sharan haynes manual is it a another vw model with same autogearbox?
Can i follow the ford /haynes manual bitmy bit.it says the autogearboxhas a drainhole and that makes me confused.

they are basically the same car
ag4 means auto gearbox 4 speed
there should be another number for the actual gearbox code

Hi There.
I changed the autogearbox oil yesterday and using the Haynes manual for Galaxy helped. It was the same procedure as for the sharan so it seems to be the same autogear box as sharan.
