    Helo everyone
I have recently bought b7 and was surprised to see that there is no way to connect the MP3 player to car's stereo I thought I'd try one of those "casette adapters". It got delivered this morning so i tried it straight away and as soon as I loaded it I could hear the sound of the casette being turned. It was so loud that I decided to take it apart (the casette) and "modified it" hoping it wouldn't be so noisy. There is a difference, but I still don't like it. I can still hear kind of "huming noise" as the music is played via the casette.
On my previous car I had a lead coming out from underneath the dashboard, which I could just connect to the MP3 Player. Has anyone ever done similar thing on Audi before? is it hard job? Or, is there any other way to deal with this problem?
    Thanks in advance
    Victor

A4 B6/B7 Symphony is an old unit- hence the inclusion of the tape deck!!

Have you checked in the glovebox to see if you have an ipod dock?

Failing that I'm not sure how you would link the mp3 player up otherwise.

    http://www.xcarlink.co.uk/product.ph...id=11&cat=4&pa

Compatible with nearly all factory fitted Audi head units including:

    RNS-D (early system)

Very good bit of kit and sound quality from sd card is excellent .

I like it RMH1. A little bit pricey, but I like it. Did you fit it yourself? if yes, was it hard? if no, how much did you pay for fitting? I'm quite good at breaking things, so would preffer if someone else could fit it for me.
    thanks for help

Kind of yes and no , i fitted it temporary just to see if it worked , it just plugs into the cd changer unit the hardest part was removing the glove box and feeding the wires ,but still not difficult.

I had it all fitted properly by another forum member who was doing my oem bluetooth at the same time so the glove box was out anyway .

Max you should pay just to fit this is Ł20 , less than an hour for someone who knows what they are doing.

As for sound quality you will not be disappointed .
