    Hi guys,

yes 3 problems, first one,the fans..they are never on however if I short the wires of the temp switch wich is plugged in the radiator both start spinning, and they work at both slow and fast speed.I am gonna change that switch but somehow I am not sure...isn t one supposed to work all the time wether the car is cold or hot?(when i do the output tests with vcds -radiator fan control module-the fans start to spin after they stop and that s it they are never on after)I ve changed the thermostat as well.

THE AC doesn t work either but I ve read that if the fans don spin, the ac is not going to kick in...that s to be seen after I get the fans working.
The last one, even now when is freezing my glow plugs(aqll are new,I ve changed them) never stay on....aren t they supposed to stay on for a while even when the engine is turned on ?all I get is the light on the dash for a sec or two and then it s gone and the car feels terrible for 5-10 minutes before it gets down to wot.

    Thank you in advance,
    Alin

Re: glowplugs. I think the coolant temperature sender is duff and giving a high reading. That's why the car runs poorly until it has warmed up. It's located on the RHS of the engine block, fairly low down. New one from VW is about £25 and is green. There are some threads about this. Do a search.
