Hi all, Thought i would share the current chapter in my golf V6 4motion which I have had for 7 years now!

I am gathering all the parts necesary to convert to the R32 wishbones & hubs on my V6 4motion. For those that dont know about this conversion I will elaborate.
Using these hubs and wishbones from the R32 will slightly adjust the geometry of the suspension components and tierods to allow for better handling and less understeer after a standard golf has been lowered. The parts ( as far as im aware ) are common to the
    Golf R32
    Seat Leon Cupra R
    Audi TT (Most Quattro models)
Skoda octavia VRS (not sure on this but most people agree)

Some people have also used the quick steering rack from these cars but most people find they have problems with the traction controll ect so im not going to carry this out as I dont wish to mess around with it.

    Parts I have so far.

Hub carriers complete with hubs, ABS rings ect
Wishbones complete with bushes and Ball joints.
Driveshafts complete with CV boots ect

I hope to get all the parts together and carry out the conversion for my next MOT in June. I also hope to list all the VAG and OEM part no's ect but will leave that for another thread.

I need to buy the tie rods and ends and renew the ball joints but for now I have a question.

Included in the parts I bought was the R32 driveshafts, complete and in very good condition. I dont need these for this conversion but.....
Are these driveshafts different to the ones on my 4motion? And are there any benefits to using these? Are they uprated compared to mine?
Can anyone shed some light on this?
    Cheers

Incase anyone was wondering about this.
Did this conversion the other day,

My R32 driveshafts fitted the 4motion gearbox no problems.
No difference in the diameter or length and the inner CV cups were identical.
Only difference is the fixing at the outer hub end but I fitted the R32 hubs too so all fitted with out any dramas or modification.

So to summarise no performance or strength upgrade that I could see. Although if you are fitting the R32 hubs, then using the r32 driveshafts saves having to change the hub flange/bearings.
