Hi all, recently bought a Bora 2002 130 TDi,
I have been looking at some other threads regarding fuel consumption and have seen several things that may be of issue.
I haven't got round to testing the MPG by briming the tank but the fuel gauge is indicating i've used just over 1/4 of a tank on 150 miles which seems pretty good but my trip computer is reading an average of 30-35mpg under easy driving.
also my outside temp sensor is not working just displays '----' and my headlight warning buzzer doesn't sound if I open doors with headlamps on.
Are these three problems related in any way?

cheers for any help or redirection to another thread!

The lights on buzzer not working is prolly the microswitch thats built into the drivers door lock.
The outside temp sensor is located in front of the rad, have a look and see if its there.

will check both, thanks for the info.
does anyone have an answer as to why my MPG on the trip computer seems bad?

I will be changing the engine oil and gear oil (shes a bit rough in the cold until warmed up) this weekend.
Ive read threads suggesting MAF or coolant sensor are common faults for poor fuel consumption.
