    Hi All,

I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I'm wondering whether to remap my Golf or is it safer to still to standard spec?

Currently 170brake DSG - it's bloody quick - should I expect much more from a remap?

    thanks in advance guys.

    Hi Dan

A remap will give an extra 35BHp and 62Nm from that (safely)

Whoa - I didn't think it would be that high. So roughly how much would that cost and is it possible to simply revert back if need be?

    Thanks

    Danny

205 bhp!? Ohhhhhh I want it.

As long as you dont have tuning protection ( i.e. after march 2009) cost is usually £299 but 10% off to members so £269 all in

And yes we keep the origional file on both my computer and at Viezu so can be put back to standard at any time

    regards

I've gotta do it. Mines mental now, to get 205bhp sounds crazy. Where is that place though? I'm in Bolton.

i had mine done in bromsgrove by mark, 170 must be amazing and to rise that to 205 will be even better, will make my 140 look a bit lame lol

    bit of difference yes

    back in 95 a had a golf 3 tdi 1.9 with just 90bhp
and i can remember thinking that was ok

think we expect more and more these days - and fortunately we can now achieve it

I had my GTSport 170 (manual) re-mapped .... it's well worth it , 204bhp is more fun and ... yes ... more MPG too !!

Ooeerr ... I just ordered a new MK6 GTD for delivery in 2011 and was expecting to get it re-mapped when it had done a good few miles .... sounds like it's not a simple thing anymore
