I've been looking at installing a Parrot MKi9200 in to my Passat B5.5. Are there any pitfalls specifically with this model combination? I want to be able to stream music from my iPhone 4, as well as obviously using it as a handsfree. Why cable(s) would I need for this?

The retail for this is £240 odd but seems to be around £100 cheaper on eBay, anything wrong with this apart from the obvious of it not being installed? I'll happily install it myself if I can find the right cable and instructions.

    Cheers,
    Jamie

Well I jumped in feet first, but ended up buying from Halfords online, as I didn't particularly like the idea of buying from a total unknown. Halfords were £170 plus you get a free set of Parrot Bluetooth Home HiFi speakers worth £199. Bargain really. I also opted to pay £20 for them to fit it; in this weather they are welcome to it! It all arrived yesterday so will hopefully get it fitted this weekend

One thing you need to do at some point is check that you have the latest firmware on the 9200, as the original firmware was a pig with the iphones (crash city). There is a tutorial on the Parrot website forum on downloading on a usb stick and uploading onto the unit.

Yes I read about that too, will update it once installed, thanks.

Halfords website failed to mention anything about only being able to have anything fitted between 9 and 3:30 mon-fri, so they have upgraded me to mobile fitting for free after I had a moan Its being fitted tomorrow at my work, so fingers crossed that the snow doesn't hit til Thursday!

Well predictably they haven't turned up, so looks like a ranting phone call is required and I'll be fitting it myself at the weekend
