today i finally recieved my stero adapter from kufatec so i can replace my single dinn with double dinn stero. just fitted adapter to new stero and nothing happen's, it's as if there's no power . when looking at the power plug on the audi loom there is 4 wires going in to the car plug, thick brown, thick red and blue wire, thin green with blue stripe and a thin brown ( possibly with a white line ). on the new adapter only 3 wires are used, the one not being used being used being the thin brown wire with ( white stripe ). i managed to eject a cd that was left in it but get nothing else. any help would be greatly recieved, as it's just been one thing going wrong after another lol.

You need to check the adapter is wired correctly. Compare the white pin out sticker from your old and new stereo and make sure each and every wire is connected correctly in the right pin location. Adapters can sometimes be made with a wire in the wrong place.

Whats the pin location (&description from the pinout sticker) of the unused wire?

Quoting wire colours isnt the best way as colours often change with different model years.

I take it your old stereo works OK (implying the car's power circuit is fine?)

Check the fuse in the new stereo as well...............
