    Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me where the small slieved aluminium looking nut should be under the bonnet of our 5.5 130 SE TDi (2001)AWX.

    Picture attached.

Am I right in thinking it shoud be in a brkt next to the fuel filter-I found this rolling about loose in the foam padding around the rocker cover presumably left there by the VW delership expecting me never to notice!?

Any pics would be gratefully appreciated so I can relocate correctly.
    Regards,
    Mike

Click on the image for a larger picture if this helps.
I am thinking this goes through a bracket beside the fuel filter to secure filter bracket to side of head?

    Hi,
I found one just like it today! It appears to fit the top hole in the fuel filter mounting bracket and it looks like some kind of bolt screws into it from the other side.

    Thank you.
Will have to try and refit "retro" next time cover is off engine-many thanks for confirming where I thought this had come from.
Presumably bolt has large washer on it.
