    As long as it meets the appropriate VW spec, then its fine.

    Depends wether or not your on fixed/variable servicing (and if you have DPF or not) as to which oil spec is right for you. Its all in your service book.

    As them to clarify which VW spec the oil is if you have any concerns about it.

    Thanks for the reponse,

    On fixed servicing, and dont have a DPF warning light on dash at start up(so assume I dont have a DPF).

    I've been sending my VWs and SEATs to main dealer service with Quantum Platinum oil for about 3 years now. Roughly halfs the cost of the oil for each service and is full VW spec PD oil.
    There are 3 kinds of people in the world, those that can count and those that can't.

    You need 5W 30 fully synthetic in this engine.
