Throttle Pedal problem – 27-11-2010,11:41 AM

I would like to remove pedal to clean up contacts if possible, I plugged the car in and the readings are 7.5% at rest should this be zero.
How do I remove pedal?
No faults codes coming up.
Car 05 reg 2.0fsi.
Any help.
