    Hi

Got a corrupt dash clock from a 1999 a4 tdi facelift model,
cars screen display is half missing, mileage is showing a row of 9's and car wont start...
i have been trying to get one of these clocks and code it in from the car breakers but i cant get one with the same 10 digit number, also im told i have to match the last letter too...is this true??

    can anyone repair/rewrite these clocks?

    any help appreciated

    thanks

    One way around this is;

    Get a matching dash/ECU/transponder keychip(s) from the
same donor car,.. same model and year as yours.

in theory they should work if you copy softcode from old cluster and they are similiar age/both tdi clusters

i fitted an s4 cluster in my 1.8t and it works perfectly

you still need security code so you will need someone who can read it then code in key

(if you live near stoke on trent i can do it)

Did the Super Vag retrieve the 5 digit code?

Not sure if it will enter it, but VCDS is capable....

Let us know how you get on.

    Hi All

I never got this sorted as couldnt get a matching clock and couldnt get a clock, ecu key set either...

A guy mentioned he could get this started for me... he wanted me to send him my car's ecu where he would remove/turn off the immobiliser ( i thought the immobilser was in the dashclock) and return it to me... he said that the car would now start and i wouldnt even have to match the dashclock code as any similar one would now fit...

    What you think ???

    thanks
