    Hi All,

    I am new to the world of Audi's (company car for the past 3 years). I have a CEL, which has lead me to do research on the internet which has lead to a headach... could you check I am following the right ideas and provide any input to help me 1. Fix it and 2. Do it cheaply!

    P2108 = Throttle Actuator Control Module Performace
    Cleared... next day....
    P161C = Glow plug on Cylinder 3.
    P1545 = Throttle Control Unit Malfunction.

    This has lead me to search and read about faulty V157 (intake Manifold Flap) am I following the right trail?

    Firstly can anyone provide a picture or diagram of where the IMF is? I thought is was front right of the engine bay between a large rubber hose and the intake manifold but a diagrame I found on the new makes me think it might be rear of each bank on top of the manifold, linking to the swirl flaps.

    Incase anyone was following this or does a search in the future the outcome was as follows:

    Throttle Control Unit is a different part to th Intake Manifold Flap, I was leading myself down the garden path with this.

    The fault codes said the throttly control unit was stuck open so either a strip down and clean (unlikely to help) or a replace the part. I had it replaced by Audi and the fault is now clear.

    i own a 2007 A6 2.7 tdi Le mans which has about 80 k miles. The engine light ( yellow engine sign ) is on all the time. Audi say it is the inlet manifolds which will cost £1100 to fix.
    can anyone send me a photo of the inlet manifold intake flaps as i notice a small linkage arm disconnected .
    would this be the problem ?

    thanks Rallagh
