my older japanese did ride nicely with original steelwheel's + std tires, both suspension and acceleration was nice, now my current A4 B7 wheelcombination weight's more than 23 kg ( + 50 lbs), I've allready bought alloys + tires with 18 kg ( exact 40 lbs): is my car going to fly? B-)

With the same phase I'm going to ride with more narrow tire, S-Line-set (235 mm wide) are far too wide in my opinion, while wintertire (205 mm) is working nicely my decision was 205/50 fitted to 17 inch alloys.

I've found an article that was looking after affect with bigger/ heavier alloys, car acceleration was a bit slower when having weighty set under but the 'bit' was the same than acceleration difference with older 2.0 TFSI 200 hp vs. 220 hp.

As far as cycling is concerned I did not get the bike 'move' with 1,5 diskwheel at back but with under kilo wheel, not the same but that was giving me an expression that worth of trying ! Expecially while wheel alloy/tire-combination is having most weight in the rim !
