    hello all i have just bought my first audi a3 1.8turbo on a s reg it has been fittied with coil overs and has 18in wheels its the first audi i have ever had because i have always had bmw and my sister has been telling me for a long time to buy a audi!!

    i have a prob with it tho there is a noise coming from the n/s drive shalf i was told it was the cv but i found out today that it is the inner drive shalf joint hitting the gear box when i go around right hand bends i hope i have explained it right i think it is because the car is to low could sum one please help!!

    I wouldn't expect the driveshaft to hit the gearbox however low the car is - Audi's engineers would have designed it to operate properly on full rebound and full bump.

    If someone's cocked something up when lowering it, then it may be. Have you tried raising it a bit?

    how do you know it's hitting the gearbox? is there any marking on it?

    hello mate i've had the drive shaft out and u can see were it has being hitting the end cap of the shalf. i'm going to try a raising it a bit at a time and see how thats gose!!
