I've been hit! Some sod clipped me while I was parked but luckily there was no damage to the bodywork.

So I'm going for a refurb, but I fancy something a bit different... I know Audi are starting to do anthracite pretty much on every model now as a factory option, but I'm not sure of an anthracite wheel on a black car...

So I'm maybe thinking of a gloss black? Anthracite would be the safer option, maybe a grey between the stock silver and anthracite or go for the full on stealth option of black? I've not seen any 5 spoke RS6 wheels in anything other than silver...

Any thoughts on which option I should go for? I don't want to play it safe with stock silver....

I think you might be right, I'm planning to get the car detailed, I'll see what the detailer can do.

Went to refurb place who want £250 + VAT to powdercoat all wheels. They had a matt black and gloss black RS6 on show but I'm not sold on the black on black...

On the way I popped into Audi (very dangerous... loving an A5 convertable on display) and saw several A3's with the 5 arm rotar in titanium which looked really good on both black and white cars (they had it on a white S3).

So I hear this titanium finish is paint code 8AU, the refurb place had a gunmetal on display which seems very close but I'll ask them to colur match the titanium paint code.

Here's a link to how they'll come out although I think titanium is a bit lighter than in the pics....

I had a set of second hand RX8 wheels done in smoke chrome

When the sunlight hits them they shine like chrome but most of the time they were a titabium colour..... was thinking of getting the ones on mine done the same...... a company in Brum called Lap-Tab.

Check out my last post above, it contains a link to a US forum with loads of pics of a black A4 saloon with this colour, which I am told is called titanium by Audi. It's lighter than anthracite which is a bit dark for my tastes on a black car. Think I'm sold on this colour tbh...

I agree this is the company who did my RX8 wheels Lap Tab do these colours...... may add more confusion sorry.

You have to go your gut feeling in the end, I did and loved them. The price they quoted seems fair as well, does that include tyre strip and fit? I'm thinking of having my SE wheels done as they are kerbed - not by me - but am undecided on colour to go with Misano red, dark would look great but the car has bright trim....... decisions, decisions.

Whatever you decide photo's are compulsory.

    As above, pics are compulsory
I'm going to have a lash at respraying my own alloys but as I have a dark blue colour car (paint code LZ5K) I dont really know what colour to go for. I was thinking of something a bit different than black or silver/grey.
    Anyone got any suggestions?
