    Hi,
I've just carried out a 10k service on my 2005 A4 2.0TDI. (Oil, filter, pollen filter, air filter and fuel filter)
When removing the old fuel filter, I removed the two hoses nearest the bulkhead and then removed the metal clip which holds the black plastic 'one way valve' with the other two hoses in the top of the filter.
When I pulled the valve out of the old filter it came apart into two pieces revealing the inside of the valve. I therefore pressed it back together and refitted the new filter hoping all would be fine.

However, since fitting the new fuel filter, diesel is leaking out of the one way valve somewhere and leaking all over the top of the filter in the engine bay! It seems as if this valve is sticking?

Anyone ever had this problem and if so what's the solution? New black plastic valve?

    Cheers,
    Davie.

Yea, there just like most parts on modern cars. Flimsy and not of a quality build. You would be better to replace it even if you do get it to stop leaking. It will end up giving you problems with power and starting

Purchased a new T-piece from Audi dealership today for aound £18.
Now fitted and seems to have sorted the problem thankfully.

Good job about T piece, say nothing and blame her after the next time she is in. After telling the story to people so many times about HER doing it, you will convience yourself that it was her and therefore blanking the whole experiance from your mind :-)
