Annoying rattle on dash

I have an annoying rattle on the dash of my 55 sharan. It appears to be coming from the vent area behind the centre dash storage compartment. Tried everything to figure out what it is. Can't see anything broken. Had the centre storage compartment out and can't find anything behind that. I also disconnected the airbag overide and now the air bag light on. Think this is because I did not disconnect battery and hoping that the service in a couple of weeks will easily sort that.

Anybody else had a similar problem and any suggestions for resolving.

Well the garage says they have sorted it but cost me £140. Seemed to be some loose clips under some bodywork under wiper blades.

Also full set of filters (air/pollen/fuel), service, bulb, mot, get parking sensors working as 1 was not, rear wishbone bushes and drive shaft bushes on front suspension. All in all £1200. I feel robbed. Why is everything so expensive.

When it's on the ramps what do you do? Just do what's essential and shop around. Not easy when you have no mechanical knowledge.

As you can probably tell, a little frustrated. Any sympathy accepted.
