    Hi,

I recently bought a 57-plate 2.0 FSI T A4. I am looking in the user manual to see whether it recommends standard unleaded or premium but there are several engine options listed and I'm unsure which I have. The different engine types it lists are (I've excluded Quattro and 4WD options listed):

75 kW 4-cyl, petrol engine, front wheel drive
96 kW 4-cyl, petrol engine, front wheel drive
120 kW 4-cyl, petrol engine, front wheel drive
125 kW 4-cyl, petrol engine, front wheel drive
147 kW 4-cyl, petrol engine, front wheel drive
162 kW 4-cyl, petrol engine, front wheel drive
188 kW 6-cyl, petrol engine, front wheel drive

Does anyone know which version of the engine is in my model or can anyone point me in the direction of how to find this out for sure?

    Thanks,
    Chris

Look in your service book for the engine code, this will be CDNB, CAEA, CDNC, CFKA or CAEB.

My service book doesn't appear to mention an engine code, just an engine number which begins BWE.

Is this of any use? I assume not...

I assumed your car was an 8K series A4, it will be a late 8E series and BWE is your engine code so that is a 2 litre 200PS/147Kw 4 cylinder.
