Heated rear window & air con not working

Hi all, I have a 2002 A4 1.9tdi 130. I have recently noticed that the rear windscreen heater does not seem to be heating up, the switch light comes on and stays on for the normal timer delay but the screen does not clear.

Also, I gave my air con its monthly blast the other day and noticed this was also not working, the blowers work fine and react as normal when I demand front screen demist, but when air con only is selected nothing happens. I had noticed some condensation on the inside of the front screen on a couple of mornings about a fortnight ago but this has now stopped.

Just to top it all, I appear to be losing reception on some local stations that are normally perfect.

I have read on previous posts that some of the above are possibly linked, could anyone please advise me if this is right and what I can try myself before taking it in.

I have checked all the fuses and they look fine, I have access to vagcom, would this show me anything?

Turned out to be a loose wire on the back of the air con unit under the radio. The error code was coming up as H-VAC not earthing, and once back in place and the code cleared everything worked fine again.
