What mods/retrofits have you done??

After reading a topic in the B6 Section about mods and retrofits (same title) and all ways on the look out for mods and retrofits. I thought I would copy the idea of the B6 post and add it to the B5 section to see what the B5ers have done.

I know Olds Skool has done alot and is a great source of information. I'm also interested to see what other people have done, along with their veiws, thoughts and images.

I have not done much at the moment but hopefully all that should change next year.

Car:=- 98 Avant 1.9TDI

Done:=-
Couple of VCDS mods
Extra 12v socket in the boot
240v socket in the boot.
Facelift windscreen wiper
Facelift Rain trays
Dual rear fog lights.
Colour coded bumper guard.
Electric rear windows
EGR delete

Almost done:=-
Cruise control
Facelift Vent Conversion (Got the parts but not done it yet)

Wants:=-
VW sunglasses holder
Ambient light pack
Facelift dash conversion
Facelift Light conversion
RNS-e (I think most people wants that)
Boot divider Screen
Cat delete
Rear Foot well lights


There might be more that can be done but i dont know about them, if I find any more that i want i'll update the list.

Jus' buy a nicer/newer motor mate, safe yasel alot a time n hassle lol!!

True but not as much fun and i'd end up doing the same thing to any car i buy.
Unless its a full spec motor.

My mods are fairly limited as the car came with almost all the options it could have. But here is what i have done.

• Clear side repeaters from a skoda
• Idle adjusted
• Service light reset
• Trip computer recalibrated
• Doors lock when driving
• Windows rise with key fob

Having said that one thing i am looking at is getting some led lighting for the centre console and maybe door pockets.

Other than that it is just general maintenance, oils, filters, plugs. The one thing i would recommend doing is a change and flush of the auto fluid and filter. I did mine and it makes the box alot smoother and less slugish.

I am looking for other mods to do but dont want to spoil the standard look of the car as the modded look is not for me.
