I am thinking of changing from 15" 195/65/R15 offset 35 to 17" 225/45/R17 offset 38, both sets are pcd 5x100. Firstly will these fit? Secondly will the overall rolling distance have an increased effect on my speedo reading, ie. if my speedo says 70mph will i actually be going faster?

    Cheers

I don't think so, as the alloy diameter increases, so the tyre wall decreases, so the circumfrence should be roughly the same.

You'll be about 30mm bigger in diameter and it shouldnt affect anything, it hasnt on mine.

I always use the tyre size calculator here to work out how any changes will affect the speedo.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.
