Great road, great car –

Had my car since the start of the year and not really had a good, long run on empty roads. However, took the car up north last week and managed to cover over 1000 miles in just over a week!!!
Went up to Aberdeen, across the Cairngorms to Carrbridge, down the South side of Loch ness (far quiter and better for driving) and based myself there for the next few days. Then had one of the most memorable drives i can recall- Fort Augustus, Glen Garry, up past Eilean Donan Castle, over the Skye bridge and a trip around Skye. Fantastic!!
Now, i've had some pretty good, quick cars over the years, inc VR6 Corrado, STi PPP and Mitsu EVO 6 and 8, but the Audi went just as well and covered the ground really, really rapidly. Yes, it's not got the out and out balls acceleration of the jap cars, but i tell you, it's not far off!!! It grips just as well with quattro and is a real pleasure to drive.
Just thought i'd share that!! I love driving (teach advanced for a living) and cars, but that was a real memorable week.
And before it gets asked, i used three tanks of unleaded. Not that i care...!!!
