How easy is it to change front pads on my B7 Avant ?
I've changed brake pads on variouis cars in the past but never on a VW/Audi, are there any 'curved-balls' I need to know about ?

The 7mm allen key is a bit of a curve ball as most sets wont have one. You need either a socket attachement or a specific one for undo brake bolts like this:

You wont be able to get enough torque to undo it with a normal allen key.

You will also need to push the piston back in, they are not threaded at the front so you should be able to do that with a g-clamp or a large pair of water pump pliers. Check the brake fluid level when you do it.

Thanks guys, the 7mm allen key is a bit of a rare beast (not in most kits) but I have one as the Ford Focus also used 7mm allen on the front callipers..
