gt engine not starting

ok im going to try and make this as easy as i can....

i converted my polo from a spi to a gt mpi, what i got was engine, box, engine harness, ecu, relays, fusebox, driveshafts, coil pack, injectors, inlet manifold etc...

i never got the rad water bottle, in car wiring loom, or charcoal filter..

my problem... when i turn the ignition on, the fuel pump does not come on, but i tried firing it up anyway and there is no spark!!!

i took a direct feed from the ignition switch to the back of the fuel pump relay, now the fuel pump comes on, but then doesnt kick off like it should do, tried starting it, still no spark, and stunk of petrol...

any ideas anyone please, i have been stuck with this problem for a couple of days now and is doing my head in

for your fuel pump problem fix a switch in the live line to the pump,as and when you want it?
