    Dear all,
I am getting an annoying clicking noise from exactly behind the glove compartment, Maybe something to do with the heating or relay, but it still clicks when the heater/climate control is off. It even clicks with just the ignition on, no engine start, any idea's appreciated,
    cheers, Hod.

it could be a relay that is failing that is giving a clicking noise this is the usual suspect but it can also be caused by a bomb (have you recently purchased the car from a Labour MP ??)

The flap probably freezes up with the water inflow from the leaking pollen filter housing, when you turn the key in the morning the actuator tries to open the flap and splits the plastic gear on the splined shaft. £35 for the actuator and dash out to replace it, did mine a couple of years ago, it kills a weekend!

cheers caldirun, seems its the usual, cheap part but a nightmare to access, I think taking the dash out is way beyond my ability.
