    Hi folks

just bought a 1999 A4 Tdi with the 90 bhp engine - could someone point me in the direction of some advice for upgrading it to the 110 bhp set up if it is at all possible.

    Thanks

    OK folks

thanks for that - now can anyone recommend a sensible chip or remap - don't want anything too crazy as the car has 170k on it so no point in wrecking it at this stage.

    Cheers

You can get this chip its very simple to install just a matter of unplugging the fuel plug and plugging this device into it and flicking the switch to on

    cgi.ebay.ie/AUDI-TUNING-MODULE-PERFORMANCE-CHIP-1-4-1-9-2-0-TDi-/270644561970?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM& hash=item3f03ac4832

This may take 100 miles to work its self in correctly

I have the same in my car and it works a treat mine started working after about 30 miles

    Thanks

    really?

a chip which fools the engine into overfuelling suddenly activated after 30 miles?

I've heard some tosh about these things, but that tops it all.

if you love your engine, don't fit one of these snide resistors people are using as get rich quick schemes. They're shoddy, don't do anything but dump extra fuel and are, imho, a stupid modification.
