Hi all, tried using my indicators today on my vw passat tdi 02 reg, only to find when i push up or down on the indicator arm to signal left or right they are staying on and not flashing, got out to have a look and yes the bulbs are staying on also. does anybody know what the problem could be.

my brake lights are also staying on but only when i turn my lights on.....they are fine when lights are switched off, this is only in the two lower brake lights....the high level third break light is working fine. could the two be linked ?

    many thanks

Sounds like a faulty earth connection.
could be at the lamp unit or under dash

    Regards
