I 'm about to place an order for a standard spec Golf GTD. The test car that I drove had LED rear lights and standard reflector headlamps. Are LED tail lights an option - I can't see it on the VW site or are they now standard fit? Thanks.

Yes the GTD/GTi/R all come with LED rear lights as of this year. The 'R' was the first

I saw a GTi with LED tail lights in Nottingham yesterday.....looks pretty smart too.

I wonder if they can be retrofitted and at what cost?

    Yes you can retrofitted them.

    5K0 945 095 L (Outer Light Left) - £120.11
    5K0 945 093 R (Inner Light Left) - £115.26
    5K0 945 094 R (Inner Light Right) - £115.26
    5K0 945 096 L (Outer Light Right) - £120.11

but you will probably need VAG-COM to programme them or same additional cables.

    There are plenty on eBay.

Well I didn't know they came with extra cables I got that info of here. I checked the part numbers and changed them to UK with fogs.

I think we are at cross purposes here Keith.
I was referring to the cables to recode them.
There are plenty of cables on ebay to use with VAG.COM but they aren't guaranteed to work.
Probably better with an official RossTech one.

Yes p3asa those eBay cables aren't compatible with the newer VW's.

Plus ac606 hasn't been back for a while so he isn't that bothered wouldn't you think?
