    Hi All,

Can any one recommend where to buy wipers for 2004 Touran, also I know this sounds daft but are they easy to fit and if so can someone give me instructions.

    Thanks

hi mate id get them from the dealer they will be about £22 they are easy to fit, all you to do is put wiper in to the service position, it will tell you how in the owners manual bud

    Hi Phil,

Thanks for that will check me owners manual.

Is it £22 for a pair or just one and do halfords or the like sell them.

I did have a quick look yesterday without checking the owners manual and had to lift bonnet to raise the arm of the wiper and then still couldnt see how it comes off. Maybe instuctions will help.

    Thanks again

it should be for a pair mate, halfords do sell them but they will prob be about the same price, genuine ones will last longer, to remove the blade iirc you have to lift the arm then move the blade thro 90 degrees and slide it off the pin (the blade will move freely and slide off freely so if its tight try the other way)

    Hi Phil again,

Yea just read the manual, now see where i was going wrong.

One of me wipers (passengers side) leaves a slight smear line at the tip, does it just need a clean and if so what do i use or new ones.

I know this seems daft but i dont see the point in changing if its just a clean

    Thanks

you can try cleaning them, ive found the best way is to put some neat screen wash on a rag and wipe the blades, the flat blades (like fitted to yours) are prone to smearing and is normally the reason why they have to be changed, i replaced mine with some valeo blades from a factor at the time it saved me £3 over genuine, anyway 4 months on and im about to get some genuine ones as mine have started to smear again, but screen wash on a rag didnt cure it
